Al young earned his Bachelor of Arts, in Communication/English from Central State University in 1977.  He played both College and High School Football.  He graduated in 1971 from Linden McKinley High School, in Columbus, Ohio.  Where he also ran track.  Al worked as the Director of Re-Entry Center at Alvis House for Thirty-Five (35) years. 

Al love for the sports and his dedication to assisting youth developing their talents, he assisted with forming two AAU basketball and football teams, the Columbus Hidden Gems and the Columbus Night Raiders in Football. 

As a member of GCBLA, Al can continue his efforts in preserving the history of Columbus sports by sharing the experiences of professional athletes that he has meet throughout his career.
